I enjoy playing. Since I was a little girl, I was drawn to everything related to a playing ball, the outdoors and friends with whom I would challenge myself. Hence, I chose sport as a way of life. First, I prepared and developed a career of 17 years in professional basketball. And, want to hear a secret? I never won a title, despite playing several finals, but I won so many other things! I never played at the Olympics, but I became a commentator to live them afterwards. Because that is what life is about: to fight for your dreams, to adapt and to get up when things do not go as you had planned... Courage, not perfection.
And here I am, a few years after my retirement, helping, from Sports Psychology, athletes, coaches, clubs and federations achieve their goals. It is a new, full and exciting way to be celebrating sport and its people.
And almost by chance, through that solidarity network we athletes have, I met Shorai. It was an instant crush! What a brilliant idea is helping professional athletes to transit from their sports careers to their retirement! Because we all need a helping hand at some point in our lives
Nice to meet you.
